Sign-up for Electronic Statements

Receive your account statements online and save trees in the process. To receive account statements electronically, log in to Online Banking, select the Electronic Statements link at the bottom of the page, and complete the steps. Monthly, when your statement cycle ends, you'll receive an e-mail notifying you that your electronic statements are available to view in Online Banking. Then log in, select the account and view your statement under the Documents menu. Statements can be printed anytime. You'll have access to up to 18 months of statements for easy reference. It's quick, paperless, and free, so log in today to sign up.

Sign-up for E-Alerts

Sign up to be notified by e-mail alert of activity on your personal checking or savings account. Receive alerts on checks that have cleared, low balance warnings and more. To set-up alerts, complete these steps.
  1. Log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select "NEW" from the Messages section.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow to select an option (e.g. Saving Low Balance).
  4. Click Next.
  5. Select the Account.
  6. Select desired options (e.g. account balance equal to or less than $100).
  7. Enter the desired frequency to check (the recommended notification is every 24 hours).
  8. Select how you wish to be notified (notification by text message will soon be an option).
  9. Choose a password (it need not be the same as your online banking password, but you may wish to make it the same).
  10. Click Submit.
Once set up, alerts cannot be modified. To stop receiving an alert, select Online Banking Alerts from the Messages section and select Delete next to the alert(s) you wish to remove.

Enroll in Mobile Banking

Mobile Banking allows you to check account balances, show pending transactions, view transaction history, and transfer funds via your cell phone. It's a convenient way to access your account information no matter where you are. And it's free! To set up and start using Mobile Banking, log in to Online Banking. Select Options, then Mobile Banking Enrollment.

Enter your mobile information, including your phone number, carrier/provider, and a 4-digit PIN number of your choosing. Click Submit. An Enrollment Complete message box will appear. A text message will be sent to your cell phone from info@boaa.com containing a secure link.

Click on the link in the text message to connect. Click OK to the security alert if prompted. Type in your Access ID (same as your Online Banking account) and the PIN number you selected in the Mobile Banking set-up process. A list of your bank account(s) will display. You have the option to show account balance, show pending transactions, view transaction history, transfer funds between Bank of Ann Arbor accounts, and view alerts if you have any set-up.

Request a New Link/One-Time Password

To request a one-time password before logging in to Mobile Banking, click the Mobile Banking link in any previous text message, or an old link that you may have saved as a favorite. On the log in page, select Cancel. You will get a new screen with the option One-Time Password (OTP). Click that button. Enter the Access ID and select Submit. Within a couple minutes you will receive a text message with your new OTP. Use that link to enter Mobile Banking.

If you do not have a previous text message saved, another way to get a new link/OTP is to enter Online Banking, select Options, Mobile Banking Enrollment, and then fill in the data again. You will be required to enter a new 4-digit pin; however, it can the same as your previous password if you prefer. This will then generate a text message with a new link/OTP.
